From Peter Charles

For those of you who don't know Peter Charles. He is the simple man in charge our child sponsorship and co-ordinator in our Kumi chapter. Please find his report bellow.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire ACF team and family for their contributions and support to the work of the lord in Kumi district.

In a more special way my gratitude goes to the ACF mission team for 2009. This year the lord has done wonderful things in the hands of his servants in all activities exhibited in kumi.
God proved his presence with signs wherever we went with you. There was order in all activities carried out in Kumi district right from the beginning of the implementation of the mission activities up the last day.

My heart felt appreciation goes directly to the president of ACF (Emmanuel Emeka) for the financial assistance and the lap top computer I received. May the almighty God bless your efforts and family!
I would like to thank Pastor Emmanuel Ike for his parental and friendly loving attitude towards me. You gave me drugs during the mission trip. I saw the concern you had for my life. You were able to offer prayers for my knee to get healed. God has done a miracle I can now walk and run freely for some good distance. Our God has done good to me.

Medical out reach:
Medical treatment was done in Ogooma primary school at the church premises. A large group of the people crowded the place but God was in control. We had 5 clinical officers and 5 medical nurses. The medical team demonstrated their commitment in serving the people to the extent that everybody who came with sickness received attention from them.

Salvation;
32 people gave their lives to the lord during counseling sessions at the medical out reach.. While at the same time across section of people around the medical out reach received the saving gospel of Christ where a majority of them got revival, restoration of their hope and deliverance from oppressing problems and evils.

Food distribution:
During the second day, food worth 30 bags (1500Kilograms) of Maize/corn flour and 5 bags (500kilograms) of beans were distributed among those affected directly by famine/ food shortage in Malera Sub County, Kokwech village in Kachonga parish. On our arrival to the food distribution site, the community was over whelmed with joy to receive the ACF team. People praised the Lord; made ululations of happiness and joy this excited us very much. The community expressed that they had never received any visitor in their community since. list of elderly people, people living with aids, orphans, widows, widowers, the lame and weak were the first priority bin the distribution of the food stuffs. Large crowd had actually gathered as every family in that place had experienced food shortage or famine due to prolong drought that had lasted for three months and had affected the food yields resulting to poor harvest.

When Pastor Emmanuel preached the gospel of Christ on the book of Mathew 11:28 Come to me…………. I will give you rest……, one prominent person in the village gave his life to Jesus and a total of 13 others. This is a miracle to us and the community.

During food distribution when the name of one lady (Aduke Christine) was mentioned , immediately she delivered a baby boy. He has been given a name Emmanuel Oceen. This implies that the lord is with the ACF mission activities in KUMI.

The president (Emmanuel Ezeonu Emeka) ACF USA INC. asked the community to join him in prayer for the land to be blessed with rain as it had not rained for three months but God graced the land with Water. The rains started with great thunder sounds and ended with calm rainfall down pour. Since 13th to date it has been raining with very good showers. People are now busy in their fields trying to compensate the lost crops by planting sorghum, sweet potatoes and cowpeas. Everybody in the village now says the God of this people is true and is able to answer prayers because it has given us rain.

The same day 12th aug, 2009, We were able to go an assess the land that has been allocated to the project. The Kamenya community expressed their willingness to support the construction work when it begins. The village committee gave an assurance that if ACF needs more land; they were willing to add more to what they have already offered to the project.

3rd and 4th Aug 2009 we had children’s fellowship and counseling sessions, praise and worship. Many of the un supported orphans joined in the fellowship where some of them gave their lives to Christ. All mission activities ended successfully with distribution of clothes to the supported orphans.

God has done great work in the hands of ACF team in Uganda, Kumi in particular.
Bravo ACF Team and Bravo ACF family we shall continue praying for you that the lord does greater exploits than what we are able to see now!

ACF 2009 Mission trips

Thanks so much Henry. You and your team made it happen again. It would not have been possible if God had not placed you and your team in the position where you are now. You are a great leader and God is going to expand you more and more. Thanks for sending such a vibrant young people across our way.
"ACF Uganda and ACF USA 2009 Missons Team"
It was all labor and laughter, service of the Master filled with His joy. That is where the strength comes from. God gave His Word (Son), and blessed is the voice that declares Him Lord of Lords. We are called to stand in the gap and once again the Lord has done it through us. Le us rejoice more and more because our names are written in the Book of Life.

What God has done, we will not cease to give Him glory. When He said that signs and wonders will follow us, all we need to do is to believe Him. I strongly believe that the birth of the baby boy on the day of our food distribution was not a coincident. It was a sign for break through and at night the Lord broke through the skies with mighty outpouring of rain fall that continued until the day before our departure from Kumi. Isn’t God awesome? What a might God we serve! Four months without rain could be dangerous.
"Brother Raymond handout gifts to one of the ACF sponsored children in Kumi"

Although I know that I may not remember all the names, I will try. There is Esther the laughing girl. She brought a lot of joy to the team. Angela the quiet in spirit – can she be an angel? She is full of strength. Carol the young woman that speaks a lot about the love of Jesus from her eyes. Her smiles will win a lot to Christ. What about Cathy the great teacher of the Word. God has a lot of sons and daughters for her to raise for Him. May her strength continue to increase in the Lord as she mourns the one who raised her. Phiona is one of the quietest young women I have ever met in my life. Her keen observation is noted of the Lord and she will learn to grow in His strength. And there is Grace – robust in spirit but soft spoken, a great warrior in praise for the Father. How could I forget Sarah my daughter – a great woman of orderliness and strength, hard working and full of wisdom. There may be two other young women that I missed. Please let them know that I appreciate them much for their sacrifice of love and dedication - yes Diana I remember now, she is a woman of strength and stamina. The Lord will continue to be your strength indeed. Amen!

For the men, there is Ezra the high priest, what could we do without his piano skills and ability to counsel. Of course there is Sam the Soldier. Like Jehosophat, he wins a great battle for the kingdom with praise and worship for the team. Lopez, you are a man full of strength, always in the background making sure all is in order. Well Edward, the man full of knowledge, you are poised for a miracle and the Lord is your strength. Yes Edward in the Fort Portal team, I am pleased to know that you joined us this year. Looking at you, I observe some greatness in the making. Please do not let it slip you bye. Have I missed any of the men, please pardon me. I am still learning to grow up with names. But for Major Henry, he is the man for the season. Thanks 1000 times for such a great leadership skill. It is from the Lord I know but you have served as a container that housed it well.

Of the camera man, he is the most secret observer that I have ever known. I was always looking for him but each time I get caught right on the face in action. I can’t wait till I see his final product.

Overall, you are a great team. Keep us the good work, meet more often (at least twice a month) to remain acclimated with each other. As you can see, there are stars being bred out of your team and from the team of sponsored children. It is God’s will that you all shine brighter for the kingdom of God

When I am invited to stay, I would like to live among you so that I will renew my youthful strength. You are love in Christ.

Yours Together In His Service
Pastor Ike

ACF Uganda Core Ministries

Children’s ministry
High Impact Education Program:No matter what the setting, children seem to be a second-rate mandate. No matter what the ill of society, it tends to spiral downward and eventually lands with its cruelest and most smothering impact on our littlest citizens. Small, Weak, helpless, innocent, vulnerable, and trusting, they are the waiting victims for our simple neglect and most evil abuse.

"Sister Tarkor giving candys to kids. They liked her so much"

No matter what goes wrong, the little ones pay the greatest price. When hunger and famine strike a nation, adults become weak and hungry, but it is the children who most often starve to death. ACF Children’s ministry program aims to lay solid building blocks in math,Science, and English and it also includes a Bible school do deepen the child’s knowledge and experience of Jesus Christ. In this ministry there will be opportunities for children to be involved with drama, puppets, crafts, worship, interactive games, Bible stories, Sports, or skits. We want to do whatever it takes to influence these kids. We want to encourage them, mentor them, provide basic necessities and demonstrate the love of Jesus for them.

"Sister Sike Mbete counselling the girls during our august missions"

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" Matthew 19:14

Evangelism
Evangelism is always our focus. Though we minister to children in need, we open our hearts and are sensitive to the lord to lead us to those He has prepared for the kingdom. Evangelistic programs are be planned in collaboration with local churches. Some options include: Door-to-Door Evangelism, outdoor outreaches, Bible distributions, street evangelism, evangelism explosion, or sharing the gospel through various media tools
"Then Jesus said to them, 'Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.'" Mathew 28:10
Family ministryWe stepped up our emphasis on Family Life Ministry last year. This includes teaching Biblical parenting in the context of the Ugandan culture, Family relationships, and partnering in ministry. Leadership training is given to community leaders and citizens.

Medical Ministry
Through our mission trips, many people have been treated for different ailments. We have also been working with our mission and local doctors treating the sick by providing deworming tablets, ARVS, and counseling services in different Ugandan communities.

"Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." Psalm 103:2-3

Other Ministries
We welcome all people who have compassion and ministry tools which are not included on this page. You can consider using the gifts God has given you to touch the lives of many people. Such ministries could include counseling, drama ministry, music, events planning, mentoring, speaking, or anything else which brings glory to our lord.

ACF Uganda

On behalf of ACF Uganda and the African community I would like to thank all of you who made the 2009 missions a success. You’re the army that the lord chose at a time he needed revival in the lives of Africans, thank you so much for accepting the call when the lord needed you to reach his people in Africa.

"Angella and Esther working on an elderly patient"

Many of the ladies who needed eyeglasses (reading glasses) were tailors & beaders unable to see to thread their needles. They were so happy to be able to do what they love with ease!! But what blessed me the most were those who needed reading glasses to read their Bibles and the teachers of Ogoma Primary school. Once they tried their glasses on, they would reach into their bags, pull out their Bible, and see if they could read it! Right many people did that! It was awesome!

Many People received free medication throughout our missions. I was very scared the way sister Florence Njang overworked herself on those days of medication. No wonder the lord is the source of her strength.

My favorite part was the day we did food distribution. Many testified that they had never received visitors like us and that famine had killed some natives. Few minutes upon our arrival a lady who was in a line waiting for food gave birth to a bouncing baby Boy. We are following up that baby and i will name him Emmanuel because i gave out some gloves that Sister Florence Njang had left on Van and some clothes to the ladies who helped her deliver the baby. I missed hearing that baby make a cry! We will shop for that him come December. I was so proud to be among those who did..........

By the time we left back to the Hotel, the skies was preginant and guess what, they received their first down pour after a couple of months. Glory be to our lord.

I believe you're pretty current with some of what God's been doing through ACF team in the past two weeks. Everyone in Kumi and Fort Portal appreciates us, and the support ACF USA gives to them. They keep telling us what a blessing we are to them, but I feel like they've been more of a blessing to us.

Great testimonies are still coming in from all the areas that we visited on missions. The lord confirmed it himself two years ago as He healed a MAD MAN during missions and since then signs and wonders have been following us wherever we go on missions. He will never cease to amaze us!!!

Our special appreciation goes to ACF USA team. You were all awesome. Brother Ike, you’re the man. Our president Brother Emeka, I really admire your leadership skills. Brother Festus you were so great. Sister Florence Njang you treated and God healed. Sister Grace Owanne you’re a woman of order. Brother Raymond you set a pace and you’re a man of all seasons. Brother OGO I need to know the source of your strength. Sister Sike you challenged me because you never allowed the devil to torment you. Brother Joshia you’re a man with a very strong spirit. The only young adult Takor challenged our young adults so much for the big heart she has for missions. What a strong team!! May the lord almighty richly bless you.

The time you spent, the money you gave, material support and spiritual guidance that you gave to our people in Uganda and Africa is immeasurable. WEBALE YESU for your servants and for making us able to reach the lives of the un-reached people in Africa. Bless ACF family and enlarge territories of mission supporters.
