.....about the work of the Lord.....

We have been so busy about the work of the Lord ambushing the villages with the gospel, going door-to-door, playing music, doing crusades and engaging folks in matters spiritual and eternal. I personally have had the opportunity to share with Catholics, Muslims and those with traditional beliefs. We have been collecting names and contact information in order to pray for those we have spoken with and contact those who are willing to hear from us again. This week we had great harvest from our evening crusades and Jesus Film. I have been so honored to be a part of this trip, this team, the encouragement we’ve to the leaders and people of Kumi and the impact we’ve been able to make upon the community and surround communities around us here. We have received different response to the gospel as some of those we have shared with have been moved to tears in our presence when pointed to truth, while others have responded in anger but none asked us to leave, but whatever the case we’ve given the gospel – the truth in love, with gentleness and humility, leaving them in the Sovereign, saving hand of God. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and continued prayer
Each year ACF works together with native doctors and Nurses on short-term assignments to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of people living in impoverished villages. Get Involved You can help us succeed right from where you’re sitting. We succeed when passionate people care about what we do and connect with a community of supporters to help us grow. Love what we do? Here’s how you can help: *Share *Donate *Fundraise *Go with us As we seek to accomplish the work laid out before us, we are mindful that the work of intercession is the most critical work. Not all can go, but we all can pray. We are sincerely grateful for your continued prayerful support of our endeavors to glorify Christ on mission with our hearts set on loving Ugandans in word and deed. Here are some specific ways you can pray for our team: -Pray that our team members would be gracious in our conduct and industrious in our labors -Pray that our team members would be flexible in our attitude and determined to give the devil no opportunity to distract us from the mission -Pray for good weather for the Medical Missions work (especially no rain!) -Pray for Brother Festus and Brother Emmanuel Ezeonu that they will communicate truths of God’s Word simply, clearly, and humbly to Kumi pastors. -Pray for the Kumi and Fort portal pastors attending the two Pastors’ conference, that they would be renewed in their faith, refreshed in their body, and revived in their spirit. -Pray for the witness this project will have in the Kumi, Fort portal and surrounding communities, namely that Christ’s name, not our own, would go forth and people would discover hope in our risen Savior -Pray for our leadership team as they contemplate ways of ministering in the future and launching of our medical centre in Kigarama [Fort portal] -Pray for the orphans who will be receiving Bibles, clothing, and school supplies, that they would see these as a provision from God Almighty and see these blessings as a reason to trust all the more in His gracious hand -Pray for our team as we take in all our experiences that the Spirit of God will help us interpret and retell them in ways that would be good for God’s purposes in Uganda, including the call for more of us to go in the future. May God bless you all.

Cleaning our City [Together we make difference]

Only together we can keep our town clean! This is another great way of preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ without any resistance. Our thanks go out to Kampala Capital City Authority who accepted accepted to work with us in our cleanup of streets and sidewalks program of this community.
We are very thankful to God for the local people who worked with us. While we encourage local folks to volunteer in such organized cleanup campaigns when they take place, we also remind all of us there are individual things we can do on a regular basis to help keep our city looking good.
Great turn up and it felt really good seeing so many people who love this city and are proud to be from Lungujja showing their support to us. It was a great sign of solidarity and shop keepers were clapping us as we walked along asking if they needed help!
We have requested the community to Spread the word to friends and neighbours; anyone and everyone are welcome to help with this important annual event. To make Clean Sweep campaign a success we require support from all communities in Lubaga Division. By working together, we CAN make a difference.
From these humble beginnings the annual clean-up has blossomed into a consistently successful event thanks to the help of our staff and KCCA! The continued success and  growing participation is a strong reflection of the environmental commitment of Lungujja residents.

My visit to the inmates at Luzira prisons.........

On 23rd.March.2013 I made my first visit to Luzira Upper prison as together with Power FM staff. What I saw was beyond what I always imagined.
I AND FELIX STAND FOR RECOGNITION
HENRY INSPECTING THE TEAMS BEFORE THE GAME
Upon our arrival, we were stopped at the prison gate requiring the presence of the prison principal to allow us in. We were then allowed in after his arrival. However we were up to 15 plus who went for the outreach and according to the principal, the law does not permit more than five members to access the prison and interact with the inmates but by HIS grace we were all allowed to enter at once.
At the gate we were asked to leave our phones behind and were also barred from carrying any more on us or issuing money to any of the inmates. It was this time that we were also questioned to execute the goal for which we had been permitted and not any other objective.
HENRY PRAISING AND DANCING WITH INMATES
We were introduced to a group of inmates who were supposedly God loving men or may be had turned to God for help. They looked so helpless though they vigorously engaged themselves in praises to God. Sitting on the floor, they listened attentively to the message and received the word with excitement before committing their lives to Christ. I must admit that the whole scenario was pathetic BUT I was so grateful to God that in the midst of hopeless situations, He has provided hope in Christ and whosoever believes in him shall never perish but have everlasting life.

I saw a very young man [in the picture above] in his late teen age probably over 19 years wearing the life imprisonment uniform and the picture has never left my mind wondering how and when he got in there. I was not strong enough to hold back my tears but was refreshed after we left by the fact that we had left them with JESUS to build hope and their faith.

 THE TEAMS PLAYING THE GAME
SOME OF THE INMATES ENJOYING THE GAME
WE ENJOYED AND SUPPORTED THE IMATES AS THEY PLAYED THE GAME
If only we are allowed to visit the prisons often it would become a ministry otherwise every movement in that place is restricted and on very tight orders.

I was over whelmed by the joy the prisoners had. This was witnessed in one of the leader as he led the opening prayer with a full and prolonged time of thanks giving and adoration to the Lord Jesus. I was touched at this man`s [Kaka] prayer and then yet another great and exciting time was the music session as well as the praise and worship session. These inmates can give praise and worship to the master.
THOUGH HE IS IS ON LIFE SENTENCE, HE STILL HAS A DREAM
It was then hard for us to say bye to our friends we had shared, smiled, danced and played football with. The football session was great moment for the inmates. This also demonstrated the talent that is covered in there as MAN U 4 hit LIVERPOOL 3 to win a trophy and sports kit for a whole team.
 UPPER PRISON LIVERPOOL TEAM
UPPER PRISON MAN.U TEAM
 THE WINING TEAM
 STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS
The great need we have saw is  the word of God in prison [bibles and tracts], and the hope of changing the inmates to good and profitable citizens, I believe God for more support towards the prison ministry to enable us share the love of God with the inmates as often as possible. Our prayer is that God may reward everyone who has been a blessing to the prison ministry that has made the outreach possible by supporting it financially.

A FRESH NEW START! Happy 2013.

How many of you, “ would like to have a fresh start in your Christian life? ” Many of us have made many mistakes in our lives as Christians. We have experienced many setbacks and failures throughout our lives. Sometimes we allow these mistakes, these setbacks and failures to enslave us to the point that we never enjoy the full Christian life that God has given us to enjoy.

In John 10:10 Jesus said, “ I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” Then he goes on to tell us that there is an adversary, called the Devil, that seeks to still, kill and destroy that life. The Devil will remind us of our past in order to keep us from enjoying the life that God gave us to live. The Devil does not want you to have a fresh start in life.

The good news is, God says, “ I want you to have a fresh start in life, I want you to have a new beginning, I want to do something new in your life. ” Aren’t you glad that God wants to do something new in your life? Doesn’t it make you excited to know that God desire to give you a fresh start, a new beginning in life. What all of us here need this morning is a Fresh Start, a New Beginning with God. Last year some of you said, “ I am going to grow in my relationship with God. I am going to pray more, read my bible more and get more involved in my church. I’m going to spend more quality time with my family. ” The list could go on. The fact all of us here made some mistakes or we made some bad decision that hindered us from doing those things that wanted to do.

Well this morning the good news is according to Isaiah 43:18 “The Lord says, `Forget about what has happened before. Do not think about the past. Instead, look at the new things I’m going to do. ” Listen to what God is saying in this verse. Forget about what’s happened before. He says don’t think about the past. It’s over. The book’s closed on it.

We need to understand that God is far more interested in our future than He is in our past. Some people think that God is stuck on their past. That all He wants to do is remind them of the things that they have done wrong. God is more interested in your future than He is with your past. That’s where you’re going to spend the rest of your life. He says, “Forget about your past. Forget about the former things. Don’t think about it. Look at the new thing I’m going to do.”

Israel was being punished for their sins and rebellion against God. God wanted to give hope and encouragement to His people. He wanted them to know that even though they were being punished they were not being forsaken. God wanted His people to understand that the punishment that they were experiencing would not be the end of them. The fact is that God want to give them a fresh start in life, a new Beginning in life. Have a FRESH NEW START in 2013.

.......it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

So we're all finally back home, safe and sound.  As I sit here at home on my bed, I just keep thinking of the past two weeks and everything we experienced as a group. So many emotions have been felt over the past two weeks, but I think that everyone from the team would agree with me when I say that it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Its hard to come back to America, where we live so comfortably, and think of all the people we formed relationships with and who touched our hearts as they live such challenging lives. I almost feel guilty taking a long hot shower or opening my fridge to grab a snack. It was even a little funny actually flushing the toilet paper instead of throwing it away! As much as some of us may want to go back and keep helping and showing God's Love, from here on out is when we bring the mission back to our friends and family. I feel very blessed coming home to loved ones, and I'm updating one more time to show everyone what else went on during our time in Uganda.

While some worked at the health clinic, others went taught hand washing skills as Jessica bathed and clothed babies in new clothes that she brought from USA. After the demonstrations, the team led by Takor participated in other activities with the kids, including singing songs, hair cutting, reading bible story books, and other fun things. The kids were all very friendly and nice, and from the smiles on their faces it was easy to see that they really enjoyed it.

As we said our goodbyes to the villagers after meeting the new converts (Harvest from the Crusades we held) and they said thank yous, there was an amazing feeling of unity. Although we didn't all speak the same language, there were many hugs and signs of friendship and relationships that had been formed. It was sad to leave the marela village, but satisfying knowing that we left them with some supplies and most importantly the Love of God. Raymond M

My best mission trip ever..

Boarding the plane on Monday in Entebbe Airport to head home brought yet another day of mixed emotions. We eagerly looked forward to sleeping in our own beds and seeing family and friends at home. Yet we were sad to be putting so many miles between ourselves and those we have come to love in Uganda. Many of us turned this sadness into joyful anticipation as we look forward to returning to Uganda next year. We began to feel pains of separation anxiety, realizing that the daily smiles and hugs from our team mates would not occur as frequently. We now share a bond with each other and a commitment to serving God that will last the rest of our lives.

This ministry experience has certainly deepened our relationships with God, with each other, and with many people in Uganda. We eagerly await what God has in store for us next!

Deliverance time
It has been a very successful mission trip.  We have been able to help a number of families medically and spiritually, we have met new friends, we enjoyed the fellowship with people we’ve known from previous mission trips and we have made a Christian difference. All the glory is to God who guides our mission efforts. Ike Emmanuel
